Souper Bowl of Caring February 9th!

Please save-the-date for our annual Souper Bowl Sunday offering! The national “Souper Bowl of Caring” is a campaign held each year on Super Bowl Sunday to raise awareness and funds to combat hunger. Each year, our church school children raise the issue of food insecurity in worship, and then collect donations for food justice organizations: this year we have decided to support Community Service Associates, which is a free meal program in Mount Vernon and World Central Kitchen which immediately prepares & serves meals to communities impacted by natural disasters & during humanitarian crises including to support for first responders and families impacted by wildfires in the Los Angeles area. We hope to see many of you in worship on Souper Bowl Sunday and hope that you will donate generously and from the heart to support this important ministry. You can also give online or through Zelle, simply by naming "Souper bowl Sunday" in the memo.

Thank you! ~ SCC Church School
